Enable Diaspora Protocol
I would like to enable the Diaspora Protocol as an admin. At the /admin/addons section I enabled the Diaspora Statistics addon and the Diaspora Protocol addon.
The next step is to set a Diaspora Relay Handle. Where can I find further information regarding Diaspora relays? Which relays can be used for the integration of Diaspora into Hubzilla?

There are no relays anymore that i know of. Anyway, you can still use the addon to connect to diaspora channels.

From my observation, content from hubzilla channels does not appear consistently in diaspora and mastodon accounts; federation seems a difficult technology to work all times. Of course, the programmer response is to use the latest software versions...;)

@Mario Vavti Hmm. I don't know. In the Friendica admin settings you only have to configure the URL of the relay.

@Max Kostikov relay.diasp.org is one of the two relays that are now dead.

Thank you for the relay infos. I inserted the relay address in the Diaspora protocol properties. I tried both relay@social-relay.isurf.ca and relay@podrelay.net, however after clicking on „Send“ the relay address again disappeared from the input field. I am not sure, if this is normal and the connection to Diaspora has been established or if something went wrong. How is the behaviour on your hubs when you insert the relay address and click on „Send“?

Acc. to the Hubzilla change log, the web GUI for the configuration of the Diaspora relay was introduced in Hubzilla version 5.0 (wording of the change log: „Diaspora: provide UI for admin to configure relay“). How was the relay configuration performed before the release of version 5.0? I would also like to try the relay configuration this way.

@KlausR the relay was hardcoded prior to version 5.0. The hardcoded relay was shut down hence it was made configurable. No other working relay was known at that time. If the relay was not saved, your hub probably could not connect to it.
